St. Louis Science Center

One of the country's largest science center facilities features a wide variety of exhibition lighting challenges. An interior architectural design that includes numerous ceiling configurations, varying in height from eight to sixty feet, dictated creative lighting solutions that could not only reveal the exhibits, but be reasonably maintained.

Flexibility is the hallmark of the building's lighting system, permitting relatively easy reconfiguration of lighting instruments when displays are altered. Special care is taken to greatly minimize glare and distracting spill so as not to compete with the museum's principal visual mission.

The rich and textured approach to the Science Center's lighting heightens the enthusiasm for learning, for both young and old alike.
